I See In Patterns

This is a new song, written to help those of us who don't see things the way everyone else does.
Spirals, patterns and colours, beautiful but sometimes overwhelming. If you've been told you're quirky, a bit weird, to loud, to quiet, smile more, too confident.
This is for you.
You were never weird, it's time to stop masking and do you.

[Verse 1]
You move in straight lines, ticking off time
While I’m tracing the rhythm beneath every sign
You want a reason, a neat little frame
But I breathe in systems — don’t box me the same
[Pre-Chorus]
I’ve been the mirror, been the ghost in the room
Carrying the weight so no one else would assume
But you can’t decode me with a rulebook or a plan
I’m not confusing - I’m just not who you are
[Chorus]
I see in patterns
In colour, in sound
In spirals and silence
When no one’s around
I feel the shift before it breaks through
So don’t try to shape me the way you do you
I see in patterns
Don’t make me the same as you
[Verse 2]
I’ve learned to translate, to soften the glare
To turn lightning into language, just to show I care
But every quiet scream, every coded plea
Built a world inside you’ll never quite see
[Bridge]
It’s not disorder, it’s not a flaw
It’s depth you don’t hear, a pulse you ignore
I don’t need fixing, or reigning in
Just space to unfold the places I’ve been
[Chorus]
I see in patterns
In layers, in light
In atmospheres heavy
And truths out of sight
I feel what’s coming before it’s in view
So don’t try to clip me to fit into you
I see in patterns
Don’t make me the same as you
[Outro]
You don’t have to understand
But you could let go of the plan
And just…
See me.
